The "Maze" Game

Instructions:

The game runs in it's own window. When the applet starts just press the open button and the window will appear.  Select the maze size using the + and - buttons: The inner buttons change the value by 1 and the outer buttons change it by 10. Then generate a new maze by clicking the generate button.  When the maze has been generated you will see the 3D view. To toggle between the 3D maze and the 2D maze, right click or go to the pull down menu on the toolbar.  You move around the maze by using the arrow keys, up/down for forwards and backwards and left/right to rotate left and right.  Pressing solve gets the computer to solve the maze and display the correct route on the map.  Restart puts you back to the start of the current maze.

Known Problems with Program

When the window is exposed after being hidden behind another window it is not repainted. If this happens click inside the window and it will repaint.  If the game stops responding to keyboard input, click inside the window to return the focus to it.

Printing the maze 

To print the maze and do it the
traditional way (with a pencil).  Generate the maze you would like to
solve.  Enlarge (maximize) your web browser.  At the top right of your
keyboard you'll see the "Print Screen" key; press the key.  Next
open up Publisher, Microsoft Word, or a Word Pad, then after the program is
loaded right click and choose paste.  Left click on the picture once to
highlight it so you can now stretch out the maze picture so it will fill the
whole page.  By doing this, your maze will be larger on the printout. 
Print the maze out on your printer and enjoy solving your maze the old fashion
way!
